Heather Thomas reveals she left Hollywood due to relentless stalker harassment and threats, describing harrowing incidents and the dangers she faced after fame from 'The Fall Guy.'

Heather Thomas, best known for her role on the hit TV show "The Fall Guy", has opened up about the disturbing reasons she left Hollywood in the '90s. Speaking on the "Still Here Hollywood" podcast, Thomas revealed that she faced relentless harassment from stalkers after her time in the spotlight.

Thomas starred in "The Fall Guy" from 1981 to 1986 and later appeared in films like "Red Blooded American Girl" and "Against The Law." However, the constant threats and frightening incidents drove her to step away from her acting career. "I was just getting so many stalkers," she said, describing it as "really bad." At one point, she was dealing with two stalkers a week, a chilling statistic that’s hard to wrap your head around.

She shared harrowing details about her experiences, including a man jumping her gate armed with a buck knife and receiving boxes of bullets in the mail. If that wasn’t enough, stalkers even sent her funeral wreaths stolen from graveyards. "There weren’t a lot of stalker laws back then," she explained, adding, "I just needed to be home anyway." The actress had two young daughters at the time and was forced to live with a bodyguard in her house for safety. Her home became a fortress, not a refuge.

One particularly terrifying incident involved a stalker cutting through her bedroom screen and breaking in. Thomas defended herself with a firearm loaded with rock salt. She admitted she still doesn’t know if the intruder faced justice. Honestly, it’s hard to imagine having to live with that level of fear while trying to raise a family.

Thomas also touched on being sexualized in Hollywood, acknowledging, "I think there’s a certain amount of disassociation." She likened her experience to running a business, saying, "It was the way I sold things." Despite the objectification, Thomas took pride in her body, stating she was "happy" with it because she "worked hard" for it.

When she first entered the entertainment industry, Thomas had aspirations to write and direct, but she quickly realized the uphill battle women faced behind the scenes. Financial necessity led her to an on-camera career, which she described as the "path of least resistance" due to the significant paychecks.

Thomas’s story is a sobering reminder of the darker side of fame. While her work entertained millions, the cost of her stardom was far too high, forcing her to retreat from the life she had built. It’s a stark example of how celebrity culture can not only objectify but also endanger those in its glow.

What a horrifying situation for Heather Thomas! It’s absolutely wild that stalker laws were so lax back then, leaving women like her to fend for themselves. The image of receiving funeral wreaths stolen from graveyards is straight out of a horror movie—except it was her real life. Makes you wonder how many other stars faced similar dangers but never spoke out.
