Aaron Rodgers addresses rumors about his football future, stating all options are open for 2025, including retirement or switching teams, with personal life taking priority.

Aaron Rodgers is clearly done with all the wild speculation about his future. On Thursday, the four-time NFL MVP decided to tackle the rumor mill head-on, making it clear: absolutely nothing is off the table for him in 2025. Retirement? Still possible. Switching teams? Maybe. For Rodgers, the decision is bigger than football—it’s about where he is in his life right now.

In his first appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" since the end of the season, Rodgers didn’t shy away from the gossip swirling around him. He’s been linked to the New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers—basically, if a team needs a quarterback, his name’s come up. Rodgers revealed he’s chatted with Giants coach Brian Daboll, keeps in touch with Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell, and even had a clandestine visit to the Steelers’ facility. The man’s calendar is busier than a New York brunch spot.

But Rodgers insists he’s not playing games with teams or the media. He says the length of contract, money, and even next week’s draft drama won’t sway him one way or another. "I’m open to anything and attached to nothing," he explained, adding that rumors about his next step are just that—rumors. Some people out there might want to pretend they have the inside scoop, but according to Rodgers, it’s all just noise.

What really matters to him now? Simply put, his personal life comes first. "I’m in a different phase of my life. I’m 41 years old, I’m in a serious relationship. I have off-the-field stuff that requires my attention. I have personal commitments I’ve made not knowing what my future was going to look like after last year that are important to me. And I have a couple of people in my inner, inner circle who are really battling some difficult stuff. So, I have a lot of things that are taking my attention – and have beginning really in January – away from football," Rodgers explained.

He acknowledged that making a commitment to a team is a huge deal, whether you’re a rookie or a 20-year veteran. For now, the football world just has to wait and see—Rodgers is making his own rules, and honestly, it’s hard not to respect someone who puts real life above all the sports drama.
