Amanda Bynes launches her OnlyFans account to directly engage with fans, emphasizing no explicit content. The move follows her recent personal challenges and marks a new chapter.
Former Nickelodeon favorite Amanda Bynes, now 39, is dipping her toes into the subscription platform OnlyFans.
Announcing her debut on the platform via Instagram stories, Bynes made it clear that her OnlyFans account is designed primarily for direct communication with fans. "I’m on OnlyFans now! Disclaimer: I’m doing OnlyFans to chat with my fans through dm’s [direct messages]. I won’t be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join," she wrote, setting firm boundaries on what followers can expect.
Subscribers can currently access content on her page for $50 a month. Her page features a mirror selfie highlighting her signature long pointed nails, blonde waves, and a septum nose ring, showcasing a fresh but familiar style.
OnlyFans, widely recognized for its subscription-based model allowing creators to monetize content that can range from personal updates to adult material, seems to be leveraged by Bynes in a subtler, more interactive manner.
Bynes’ move to OnlyFans arrives after a period of low public visibility punctuated by widely reported challenges. In March 2023, she was placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold after being found nude on the streets of Los Angeles. Police reported that she appeared to be suffering from mental illness at the time and she was subsequently hospitalized.
Her absence was also felt at the 90s Con in Hartford, Connecticut, where she missed a scheduled reunion with her former "All That" castmates. In an interview, co-star Kel Mitchell expressed support and hope: "I've just been praying for her. It's awesome to see she's doing better. We're just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it's answered prayers that she's doing a lot better."
This planned appearance would have marked Bynes’ first public event since the termination of her eight-year conservatorship in March 2022, an important chapter in her personal life reflecting regained autonomy.
Beginning her career at 10 on Nickelodeon's "All That" in 1996, Bynes quickly became a standout performer, leading to her own spin-off, "The Amanda Show," which ran until 2002. She transitioned to film with roles in productions like "Big Fat Liar" and the WB sitcom "What I Like About You."
Despite announcing an indefinite break from acting in 2010 and entering conservatorship in 2013, Bynes remains a figure of public interest, and her OnlyFans venture might just signal a new way to connect with fans directly.

Amanda's choice to use OnlyFans primarily as a chatting platform rather than for risqué content flips the usual narrative around this site. It's a smart move to reclaim control over her story and interactions, especially given her complicated journey. Who would've thought OnlyFans could be the new stage for a former child star's comeback chat room?
