Amy Schumer shares her positive experience with Mounjaro weight loss medication after struggling with Ozempic, highlighting minimal side effects and improved well-being, plus her investment in MidiHealth.

Amy Schumer is getting candid about her journey with weight loss medications, and this time, it’s nothing short of a pleasant surprise. The 43-year-old comedian recently took to Instagram to talk about her positive experience with Mounjaro, also known as tirzepatide, a medication primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes.

Schumer shared with her nearly 13 million followers how this experience was starkly different from her earlier, harrowing trial with Ozempic. Years ago, she had suffered debilitating side effects from Ozempic, which she described as leaving her bedridden. Reflecting on the ordeal, she said, "I have this gene – GDF15 – which makes you extremely prone to nausea, so I was vomiting, bedridden, and couldn't even lift my head off the pillow. Sure, I lost 30 pounds quickly, but what's the point if you feel like a zombie?"

Fast forward to now, and her tone is much brighter. In her Instagram video, recorded while she was driving (yes, she openly admitted this wasn’t the safest choice), Schumer praised Mounjaro, saying, "It’s been great. I feel good, my side effects are minimal, and I have more energy than ever." She also revealed how connecting with telehealth service MidiHealth helped her initiate her journey with the drug. "It was affordable, and I wanted to try it myself before recommending it to my friends who are nurses and teachers," she noted.

As if that wasn’t enough of a glow-up, Schumer added that her newfound health routine now includes hormones like estrogen and progesterone to address perimenopause symptoms. "My hair is fuller, my skin is better, and I have more energy. Oh, and let’s just say my libido is back!" she quipped, leaving no room for subtlety.

Interestingly, Schumer was so impressed by MidiHealth that she invested in the company. Talk about putting your money where your mouth is!

In between her health revelations, the "Trainwreck" star also found time to humorously touch on royal titles, jokingly questioning, "Why don’t we have to call Kate Middleton ‘Kate of Wales’?" before signing off with her signature wit.

Schumer’s story sheds light on the growing trend of using diabetes medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro for weight loss, a practice that’s becoming more mainstream despite its controversies. While Ozempic’s side effects made it unbearable for Amy, her experience with Mounjaro has been a game-changer, giving her the results she wanted without the suffering.

Weight loss medication isn’t one-size-fits-all, but Schumer’s transparency is a breath of fresh air in a world where celebrity health journeys are often shrouded in secrecy. And let’s be honest, her openness about the good, the bad, and the downright bizarre makes her even more relatable.

Amy Schumer’s candidness is refreshing, especially in an industry where many celebrities shy away from admitting to using weight-loss drugs. Her humor and self-awareness make this story not just informative but also entertaining. However, that driving-while-recording moment? Not her best move. Let’s not turn health updates into mobile stunts!
