An Australian nurse is in hot water after allegedly making some seriously inflammatory comments about Israeli patients. Sarah Abu Lebdeh, 26, was arrested Tuesday following a video that surfaced online earlier this month, according to the Associated Press.

Abu Lebdeh and another nurse, Ahmed Rashid Nadir, were suspended from Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital near Sydney on Feb. 12. The night before, Abu Lebdeh allegedly said in a video that she wouldn’t treat Israeli patients, while Nadir suggested he had, shall we say, *dealt* with Israelis in the past, the AP reported.

The hospital did its due diligence, combing through patient records and thankfully found no evidence that the nurses had actually harmed anyone. Crisis averted, maybe?

The New South Wales Police Force didn't mince words, labeling the video as "antisemitic." They also noted that it was "filmed at Bankstown Hospital and circulated widely on social media."

Abu Lebdeh is now facing federal charges, including threatening violence, using a carriage service (which, let's be real, probably means the internet) to threaten to kill, and using a carriage service to menace, harass, and offend.

These charges could land her in the slammer for a maximum of 22 years. Yikes.

Abu Lebdeh has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 19.

In the video, a man and woman, identifying themselves as doctors, were chatting with someone via Chatroulette. After the Israeli man revealed his nationality, the female worker allegedly said, "it's Palestine's country, not your country you piece of s---."

When the Israeli man asked for peace, things escalated, and the woman allegedly said, "when the time comes, I want you to remember my face, so you can understand that you will die the most disgusting death." Talk about a bedside manner!

The pair allegedly went on to say they wouldn't treat the man and would kill him if he came to their hospital.

The man in scrubs allegedly said "you have no idea how many Israelis came to this hospital and…," while making a throat-slashing motion.

Fox News' Alexandra Koch, Beth Bailey and the Associated Press contributed to this report.

Editor's Comments

It's truly disheartening to see such blatant expressions of hate, especially from healthcare professionals who are supposed to uphold the sanctity of life. This case highlights the pervasive nature of prejudice and the urgent need for accountability.
