Blake Lively speaks out on enduring her 'lowest lows' amid a high-profile legal battle with Justin Baldoni, sharing emotional insights and the latest lawsuit developments.

Blake Lively has finally opened up about the legal storm swirling around her and former co-star Justin Baldoni. During her Thursday night visit to "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Lively took a break from promoting her new film, "Another Simple Favor," to share a rare, vulnerable moment about her tumultuous year.

After a bit of banter—including a nod to life as a mom of four with Ryan Reynolds—Lively touched on the emotional rollercoaster she's been riding. "It's no surprise I've had a pretty intense year, and [my kids] are just my lifeline. No matter what day I'm having, I have to be Disneyland every day for them," she said. Now, that’s commitment—Mickey Mouse ears, but make it resilience.

Seth Meyers, careful not to dig too deep, acknowledged the sensitive nature of the topic. Lively, quick with her signature wit, quipped she was relieved Meyers wasn’t doing a "Weekend Update" on her situation—because then things might get truly awkward.

When pressed, Lively confessed, "This year has been full of the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life, and I see so many women around afraid to speak, especially right now, afraid to share their experiences." She emphasized the importance of using her voice, crediting other women for giving her strength and reaffirming her commitment to advocating for a safer world for women and girls. Sometimes the real plot twist in Hollywood isn’t in the script, but in the courage behind the scenes.

After a round of applause, the conversation turned to lighter topics, but the gravity of what Lively shared hung in the air.

Lively and Baldoni starred together in "It Ends with Us," which premiered in August 2024. Following rumors of on-set drama, Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath with the California Civil Rights Department, alleging sexual harassment, retaliation, emotional distress, and negligence. She later escalated the case to federal court on December 31, 2024.

On that same day, Baldoni fired back with a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times over a report on his alleged smear campaign. He then named both Lively and Reynolds in a separate $400 million defamation suit, accusing the couple of trying to seize creative control and twist the film’s narrative to their liking.

The legal showdown is set for March 2026, so buckle up—Hollywood drama isn’t just for the big screen anymore.

Editor's Comments

If Hollywood drama had a frequent flyer program, Blake and Justin would have elite status by now. With lawsuits flying like confetti and everyone lawyering up, I’m just waiting for someone to option the courtroom saga as a sequel. Seriously, do you think Disneyland offers a season pass for emotional rollercoasters? Blake might need it.
