Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco criticizes media and activists for spreading misinformation about ICE operations, warning that interference with federal immigration enforcement endangers law enforcement and public safety.

A California sheriff has issued a sharp rebuke against the media and activists, accusing them of spreading misinformation about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations under President Trump’s immigration policies. Sheriff Chad Bianco of Riverside County warned that such actions are putting both law enforcement and the public at risk.

"It’s all fearmongering," Bianco said during an interview with Fox News Digital. He emphasized that ICE operations are targeting individuals with criminal histories who have already been deported. "The lie that they're doing raids and that they're just going through communities, that is an absolute lie spread by activists and dishonest politicians," he added.

Reports have surfaced of activists in Los Angeles using bullhorns and sirens to warn residents about ICE’s presence in the area, allegedly disrupting federal operations. Such actions, according to Bianco, are not only unlawful but also dangerous. "Those who are impeding ICE operations are guilty of a crime and could find themselves arrested," he stated bluntly.

Bianco, who recently announced his candidacy for California governor, expressed concern that these disruptions could escalate into confrontations, potentially leading to injuries or even fatalities. "The reality is these people all have federal warrants to be deported. They've already gone through the process, they've already victimized us in the past," he said, referring to the individuals targeted by ICE. "They're not here to make a better life for themselves. They were here to victimize us, and a judge has ordered them removed."

He didn’t mince words about the risks posed by such interference. "It's going to cause a confrontation with these federal law enforcement officers, and people are going to get hurt," Bianco warned. "Law enforcement is going to get hurt. People are going to get hurt and, more than likely, in some situations, killed, and it is absolutely ridiculous."

Bianco criticized both media outlets and politicians for their role in fueling misinformation and public unrest. "The media should be reporting the truth. The politicians should be telling the truth," he said, accusing them of exploiting divisions based on race, gender, and other factors. "It’s just placing people in danger," he added.

President Trump’s immigration policies, particularly his focus on deporting criminal illegal immigrants, have faced significant pushback from Democratic politicians and activists. Despite accusations of targeting vulnerable communities, Trump has maintained that his approach is aimed at enhancing public safety.

Bianco’s remarks come amid a broader political battle over sanctuary policies, with some Democratic leaders actively refusing to cooperate with federal immigration authorities. "All of these people protesting, they don’t even really know what they’re protesting," Bianco said. "They're believing dishonest politicians and activist groups, and it’s very unfortunate."

While the political debate rages on, one thing is clear: the divide over immigration enforcement shows no signs of narrowing. And as rhetoric heats up, the risks for everyone involved—law enforcement, activists, and the public—are becoming all too real.

Sheriff Bianco didn't hold back here, did he? While he raises valid concerns about public safety and legal accountability, the real kicker is how he calls out the media and politicians for 'fearmongering.' It’s a bold move, but also a risky one in today's hyper-polarized environment. My takeaway? If protests are crossing the line into obstructing justice, it’s not just a moral debate anymore—it's a legal one. And honestly, the idea of bullhorns and sirens to warn people about ICE? That’s straight out of a dystopian thriller.
