Pro Football Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher has doubled down on his stance against transgender athletes competing in women’s sports, calling it a matter of common sense. In a recent appearance on America Reports, the former Chicago Bears linebacker argued that biological differences make it unfair for males to compete in female sports categories.

"Men are meant to play with men," Urlacher stated, pointing to the physical advantages that often give transgender women an edge in women’s competitions. He referenced high-profile cases, like the controversy surrounding a male swimmer dominating women’s events, to underline his point: athletic fairness is at stake. Urlacher also highlighted a recent incident in Illinois, where a biological male competed in a seventh-grade girls’ track meet, sparking heated debate.

Urlacher expressed frustration that more female athletes aren’t speaking out, noting that those who do often face backlash or choose to withdraw from competitions altogether. "It’s ironic," he said, "that advocates for women’s rights stay silent when men dominate women’s sports." He also raised safety concerns, citing an example of a volleyball player injured by a powerful spike from a transgender opponent.

The issue has gained political traction, with President Donald Trump’s executive order aiming to restrict transgender participation in women’s sports. Some states, like Maine, have faced consequences, including the loss of federal funding, for defying the order. Urlacher’s comments echo a growing sentiment among athletes like Aaron Rodgers, who also question the fairness of current policies.
