Cedar Point's Siren's Curse roller coaster malfunctions for the third time since opening, leaving riders suspended at a 45-degree angle for nearly 20 minutes.

Thrill-seekers at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, got more than they bargained for on July 19 when the park's newest roller coaster, Siren's Curse, malfunctioned for the third time since its opening on June 28. Riders were left dangling at a nerve-wracking 45-degree angle for nearly 20 minutes, turning an adrenaline rush into a test of patience.

This towering ride, which reaches a staggering height of 160 feet and speeds up to 58 mph, has already built a reputation for unexpected pauses. During its opening weekend, passengers were stuck mid-air for about 10 minutes, and on July 2, the coaster halted just before its signature tilt, forcing an evacuation via stairs.

According to Cedar Point spokesman Tony Clark, the ride's safety systems worked as intended during the latest incident. The coaster was restarted, allowing riders to complete their journey and exit safely. The attraction reopened shortly after, proving that even sirens can't keep a good thrill down for long.

While these hiccups are concerning for some, they highlight the complexities of modern roller coasters. For now, visitors to Cedar Point might want to brace themselves—not just for the ride, but for the possibility of an unplanned mid-air meditation session.

Well, it seems Siren's Curse at Cedar Point is singing a tune of trouble! Three malfunctions since opening? That’s less of a thrill ride and more of a 'hang in there' challenge. I bet the riders stuck at 45 degrees were just thrilled to get a free sky-high yoga session. Maybe next time, Cedar Point should throw in a complimentary stress ball with every ticket!
