Former Chiefs employee Ramzee Robinson sues for racial discrimination and wrongful termination, alleging unfair pay and false accusations.

The Kansas City Chiefs are facing a lawsuit from former employee Ramzee Robinson, a retired NFL defensive back who served as the team’s director of player engagement. Robinson alleges wrongful termination and racial discrimination, claiming the Chiefs fired him after falsely accusing him of attacking a female coworker. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, details a February meeting where Robinson was confronted but denied access to security footage that could have cleared his name.

Robinson, who spent nine years in a front-office role managing locker room dynamics and mentoring players, also claims the Chiefs paid him a salary of $125,000—well below the NFL average of $171,932 for similar roles. He alleges the team systematically underpaid African-American employees compared to their white counterparts, pointing to a broader pattern of inequity.

Chiefs spokesman Brad Gee responded, stating the organization does not tolerate discrimination, though he declined to comment further due to the ongoing legal matter. Robinson, a 2007 draft pick who played for the Lions, Eagles, and Browns but never suited up for Kansas City, is seeking justice for what he describes as a career unjustly derailed.

Looks like the Chiefs’ playbook needs a new chapter on fairness. If Robinson’s claims hold, this could be a bigger fumble than a fourth-quarter interception. Why pay less for the same hustle? Sounds like someone’s trying to sneak a cheap shot past the refs!
