Dallas Cowboys' Tyler Smith fuels Super Bowl hype for 2025, citing new talent and high expectations despite decades of postseason drought.
The Dallas Cowboys are once again riding the wave of Super Bowl dreams as they gear up for the 2025 season. For a franchise that hasn’t sniffed an NFC Championship Game—or a Super Bowl—since 1995, the hunger for glory is palpable. Despite a history of postseason disappointments, with seven exits in the divisional round and six in the wild card, the optimism in Cowboys camp remains unshaken.
Offensive lineman Tyler Smith is banging the drum loud and clear. Speaking to reporters in California ahead of training camp, Smith didn’t mince words: 'Super Bowl champions. That’s always the expectation.' And he’s not just spouting fan-favorite rhetoric—he believes it’s a realistic goal. Pointing to key offseason moves like the addition of wide receiver George Pickens and the drafting of offensive lineman Tyler Booker in the first round, Smith sees a bolstered roster ready to dominate. 'We’ve built a great core on offense,' he said, highlighting the new talent as critical pieces for the year ahead.
Under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, and with a healthy Dak Prescott back at the helm, the Cowboys are looking to improve on last season’s 7-10 record, a result hampered by Prescott’s injury. When this team is firing on all cylinders, they’ve shown they can rule the NFC East. But the road won’t be easy. With the reigning Super Bowl champs, the Philadelphia Eagles, and a rising Washington Commanders squad in their division, the Cowboys will need more than hype to turn expectations into reality.
Still, if belief could win championships, Dallas might already be hoisting the trophy. For now, it’s all about proving it on the field—and shaking off nearly three decades of ‘almosts.’

Well, folks, Tyler Smith is out here promising a Super Bowl like he’s got a crystal ball—or at least a really good offensive line to protect it! The Cowboys haven’t seen the big game since ’95, which, let’s be honest, is longer than some of their fans have been alive. But with new faces like Pickens and Booker, maybe this isn’t just another Dallas daydream. Or are we just witnessing the annual tradition of Cowboy-sized optimism? I’ll believe it when I see Jerry Jones stop building stadiums and start building parades!
