Sean 'Diddy' Combs’ high-profile legal team for his sex-trafficking trial could cost $15M, with top attorneys fighting RICO charges in a two-month trial.

Sean "Diddy" Combs is sparing no expense in his fight against sex-trafficking and racketeering charges in New York, assembling a powerhouse legal team that could cost him a jaw-dropping $15 million. The trial, which kicked off on May 12, 2025, with opening statements, is expected to stretch over two months, and the price tag for his defense is climbing faster than a chart-topping single.

Leading the charge are high-profile attorneys like Marc Agnifilo, known for defending NXIVM’s Keith Raniere, and Brian Steel, fresh off representing rapper Young Thug. They’re joined by a roster of legal heavyweights, including Teny Geragos, Anna Estevao, Jason Driscoll, Xavier R. Donaldson, and Alexandra Shapiro. This dream team is working round-the-clock to keep Combs out of prison, where he faces life if convicted.

Legal experts estimate the cost of this defense could easily surpass $10 million, with some pegging it as high as $15 million. "When you’re facing life in prison and a sprawling RICO indictment, the legal tab adds up fast," said civil rights attorney Adante Pointer. He noted that Combs’ legal expenses began piling up long before the indictment, with costs for private investigators, legal staff, and pretrial prep. Another expert, John Day, compared Combs’ case to Alec Baldwin’s, where top attorneys charged $2,000 per hour. With a team of eight lawyers, paralegals, publicists, and jury consultants, daily trial costs could exceed $100,000.

Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani emphasized that Combs, with an estimated net worth of $1 billion before these legal battles, is treating this as a "money is no object" defense. The charges, which include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transporting for prostitution, stem from a September indictment. With his legacy and freedom on the line, Combs is betting big on walking free.

Diddy’s legal bill is climbing faster than his old hits on the Billboard charts! With a $15M defense team, he’s betting more on lawyers than a Vegas high-roller. But here’s the kicker: while his attorneys are racking up fees, the real cost might be his legacy—can they spin this like one of his classic tracks?
