Vandalism against Tesla vehicles is rising, fueled by backlash against Elon Musk. Victims face costly damages and safety concerns as law enforcement investigates these targeted attacks.

Vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles is on the rise, with incidents seemingly fueled by anger toward the company's outspoken CEO, Elon Musk. One such victim, Abigail Gill from Wichita, Kansas, shared her harrowing experience after her Tesla was keyed while she was having dinner with her family. The suspect, caught on the vehicle's footage, left deep scratches on the car after repeatedly walking past Gill’s table wearing pajama bottoms. Gill, who relies on her Tesla for mobility due to her use of a wheelchair, described the act as "super saddening and disappointing."

Gill, appearing on 'Fox & Friends,' revealed the repair costs would amount to a staggering $7,000. Although community members have generously offered financial help, Gill firmly believes the perpetrator should foot the bill. "It’s such a great thing to see people come together, especially in times like this, but the only person who needs to pay a single dime is the guy who thought it was OK to do this," she said.

The vandalism appears to be part of a broader backlash against Musk, whose involvement with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has stirred controversy due to federal program cuts and job losses. Unfortunately, Tesla owners are bearing the brunt of this fury, with incidents ranging from keying and graffiti to arson and drive-by shootings. The FBI has even launched a task force to investigate these escalating attacks.

Another Tesla owner, Josh Hazel, faced hostility while driving his Cybertruck in a Mardi Gras parade. Hazel recounted how onlookers hurled profanities and struck his vehicle, with one person throwing a heavy bead necklace that injured his wife and damaged the truck. Despite the ordeal, Hazel remains loyal to Tesla, calling the vehicles "incredible" and highly recommending them.

Law enforcement is taking action, with multiple arrests tied to Molotov cocktail attacks on Tesla vehicles. FBI Director Kash Patel has classified these attacks as "domestic terrorism," promising justice for those affected. However, critics like Rep. Daniel Goldman argue the task force is politically motivated and a favor for Musk. Goldman tweeted that the initiative is "weaponizing law enforcement to 'crack down’ on adversaries of Musk."

For Gill and Hazel, the issue transcends politics—it’s about safety and fairness. "The vandals are not hurting Elon [Musk] at all. It’s just hurting the families that are getting such valuable things damaged," Gill lamented.

The irony here is almost poetic—protesters angry at Musk are targeting people who likely have no personal connection to him. Damaging vehicles owned by families who rely on them for daily life, like Abigail Gill, is not activism; it’s just cruelty disguised as a cause. Maybe it’s time for these vandals to channel their energy into constructive action instead of destruction.
