European leaders face criticism for posting identical messages supporting Ukraine's Zelenskyy after his meeting with Trump, sparking debate over authenticity and diplomatic unity amid ongoing conflict.
Some of Europe's top leaders are facing backlash after a series of suspiciously identical social media posts praising Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The posts emerged following Zelenskyy's fiery meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday.
The posts, shared by figures such as European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and others, read: "Your dignity honours the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace." Five different leaders using the exact same words? Yeah, social media wasn’t going to let that slide unnoticed.
Critics were quick to highlight the eerie uniformity, with one user sarcastically asking, "Has the EU been bots this whole time?" Others labeled the posts as "kinda creepy," questioning the authenticity of these leaders' support.
Fox Digital reached out to the European Parliament and European Commission for comments on the matter but received no immediate response.
The controversy unfolds against the backdrop of Zelenskyy's escalating diplomatic efforts. After being asked by Trump to leave the White House on Friday amid a tense Oval Office meeting, Zelenskyy traveled to Europe, where he received a warm embrace from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Starmer reaffirmed the UK's "unwavering" commitment to Ukraine, stating, "We stand with Ukraine for as long as it may take." He also indicated that the UK was ready to step up militarily if needed.
Meanwhile, European leaders met in London to discuss a potential peace plan for Ukraine. Starmer emphasized the need for a resolution "backed by strength" to prevent Russian President Vladimir Putin from launching further aggression. He declared that the UK was prepared to "put boots on the ground and planes in the air" to support Ukraine and push for a long-lasting peace deal.
U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard also weighed in, criticizing certain European nations for what she described as a lack of commitment to freedom and peace. Gabbard accused some European countries of undermining democratic values, pointing to examples in the UK, Germany, and Romania.
The synchronized posts from European leaders have added a layer of awkwardness to an already complex geopolitical situation. While the intention may have been to show solidarity with Ukraine, the execution has left many questioning the authenticity of these public gestures. Perhaps a little originality next time, folks?

There's a fine line between solidarity and staged PR, and these posts from European leaders just tripped over it. It's hard to take a message seriously when it feels copy-pasted, like a group project where everyone forgets to change the font. Authenticity matters, especially when you're addressing a war-torn nation's leader. Maybe next time, they should try hitting 'compose' instead of 'copy-paste.'
