Ex-NFL star Adam 'Pacman' Jones admits to cheating league drug tests, revealing his methods on Deion Sanders' show amid evolving NFL marijuana policies and changing attitudes.
Former NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones has revealed the unconventional methods he used to beat the league's drug tests during his career with the Cincinnati Bengals and other teams. Speaking on Deion Sanders’ Tubi show, "We Got Time Today", Jones openly admitted to "cheating" the NFL’s drug program, calling his method "really good."
"People don’t know how smart I am," Jones said. "I don’t play no more, but I’ve never used my p--- for a p--- test. Not one time. Not one time." Deion Sanders, now the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, was quick to express his skepticism, emphasizing that players today are closely monitored during the process.
Jones, however, tried to elaborate on his methods, though he was ultimately cut off before getting too explicit.
Drafted as the No. 6 overall pick in 2005, Jones enjoyed a career spanning over a decade, playing for teams like the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, and Denver Broncos. But his career wasn’t without interruptions—he missed two entire seasons.
The NFL’s strict anti-marijuana policy during those years has since been relaxed, reflecting a broader cultural shift. Pro Football Hall of Famer Champ Bailey, in an earlier interview with Fox News Digital, shared his own experience with cannabis use during his playing days. According to Bailey, players often knew when tests were coming and adjusted their usage accordingly. "We knew when the tests were coming, so we always quit at a certain time," Bailey said, though he admitted this practice impacted recovery efforts during the offseason, a time when players trained most intensely.
Bailey also reflected on how the NFL’s former approach to cannabis use was, in hindsight, a "waste of time and resources." He praised the league’s evolving stance, which now acknowledges the potential benefits of cannabis for player recovery and well-being.
It’s clear that attitudes toward drug testing and marijuana use in professional sports are shifting. But Jones’ colorful confession adds a layer of intrigue to the conversation—leave it to Pacman to keep things interesting.
