Ex-Penn State Star Julian Fleming Injured, Girlfriend Killed in Tragic ATV Crash

In a heartbreaking incident in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, former Penn State wide receiver Julian Fleming, 24, was seriously injured in an ATV crash that claimed the life of his girlfriend, Alyssa Boyd, 23. The accident occurred Friday night near the Pennsylvania-New York border when their ATV struck a deer on a rural road, according to state police.

Neither Fleming nor Boyd was wearing safety gear, a stark reminder of the risks of recreational vehicles. Fleming, a standout athlete who dazzled at Southern Columbia High School and later starred at Ohio State from 2020 to 2024, transferred to Penn State for his final NCAA season. He recorded 14 catches for 176 yards and a touchdown in 16 games for the Nittany Lions, following a solid Buckeyes career with 79 receptions for 963 yards and seven touchdowns.

Tragically, Boyd, a University of Alabama student, suffered catastrophic injuries in the crash. Fleming, who signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent but had his contract rescinded after failing a physical, now faces a long recovery.
