The FBI warns Tesla owners and dealerships of potential attacks linked to the #TakeDownTesla protest. Recent incidents include arson, vandalism, and federal charges for domestic terrorism.

The FBI has issued a stark warning to Tesla owners and dealerships to be on high alert ahead of the March 29 "Global Day of Action," a protest organized by left-wing group Action Network under the hashtag #TakeDownTesla. The movement is rooted in anger over Tesla owner Elon Musk’s efforts to cut government waste and fraud, a role he’s taken on as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

In a Friday statement, the FBI urged vigilance, noting that Tesla-related entities have been targeted by acts of arson, gunfire, and vandalism in at least nine states since January. The memo highlighted incidents where perpetrators expressed grievances against those they perceived as racists, fascists, or political adversaries.

Former FBI agent Rob D’Amico shared his insights on "Fox and Friends" Monday, emphasizing the need to investigate potential conspiracies behind these attacks. "There are definitely people behind this, not just solo actors," he stated, adding that encrypted apps used by bad actors pose a significant challenge for law enforcement.

Some of the incidents are truly chilling. In Salem, Oregon, Adam Matthew Lansky allegedly deployed eight Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership, damaging vehicles and shattering windows, while armed with a suppressed AR-15 rifle. Lucy Grace Nelson, arrested in Colorado, reportedly attempted to torch Teslas using Molotovs. And in South Carolina, Daniel Clarke-Pounder faces charges for setting fire to a Tesla charging station and spray-painting pro-Ukraine and anti-Trump messages.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has charged suspects federally, calling the attacks "domestic terrorism." Bondi issued a clear warning: "The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended." While arson incidents have paused since these charges, vandalism persists. In Kansas, a Tesla owner’s car was scratched extensively, causing costly damage. "Damaging a personal vehicle does not affect Elon Musk," said the owner, Abigail Gill, adding a dose of common sense that feels surprisingly absent in this chaos.

Meanwhile, in Palm Beach, Florida, tensions boiled over when a man drove his car onto a sidewalk filled with anti-Tesla protesters—thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the driver was arrested for assault.

FBI Director Kash Patel reiterated the agency’s commitment to tackling violent crime, including these alarming Tesla-related attacks. "The FBI’s mission is to safeguard our citizenry and investigate those who do harm," Patel said, while noting broader priorities like sex trafficking and opioid overdoses.

As the "Global Day of Action" approaches, Tesla owners may need to keep one eye on their vehicles and the other on the news. And while Elon Musk might be the target, the collateral damage is hitting everyday people, proving that anger and misguided protests can sometimes steer into absurdity.

So, let me get this straight: people are torching cars and vandalizing property because they’re mad at Elon Musk? Someone needs to explain how scratching a Tesla in Kansas is supposed to take down a billionaire in California. Also, encrypted apps being a blind spot for law enforcement? Sounds like a villain's handbook. Let's hope the FBI keeps that RICO investigation sharp.
