Fetterman Slams AOC’s Trump Impeachment Call Over Iran Airstrikes

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman swiftly dismissed Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s push to impeach President Donald Trump over his decision to launch airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Speaking on America’s Newsroom, Fetterman called the impeachment talk a non-starter, emphasizing that Trump’s prior impeachments didn’t prevent his return to the White House.

The strikes, dubbed Operation Midnight Hammer, targeted key Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan using B-2 stealth bombers. Trump hailed the mission as a “spectacular military success” in a national address, though it sparked outrage among some Democrats and even a few Republicans for bypassing congressional approval.

Ocasio-Cortez, in a fiery X post, labeled the strikes a “grave violation” of constitutional war powers, warning of a potential decades-long conflict. Fetterman, a vocal supporter of Israel and critic of Iran, countered that flippant impeachment calls dilute the term’s weight, urging focus on more pressing issues.
