Aaron Goodwin’s wife, Victoria, has been arrested for allegedly plotting with convicted murderer Grant Amato to kill the 'Ghost Adventures' star, following a chilling true-crime connection.
In a twist that feels ripped straight out of a true-crime thriller, "Ghost Adventures" star Aaron Goodwin’s wife, Victoria Goodwin, has been accused of soliciting a convicted murderer to kill her husband. According to reports from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Victoria allegedly fell "in love" with Grant Amato, a man serving time for brutally murdering his entire family in 2020.
Victoria reportedly discovered Amato through a true-crime documentary titled "Ctrl+Alt+Desire," which aired in April 2024. The film detailed Amato’s disturbing obsession with an adult site model, his theft of $200,000 from his family, and the horrific murders of his parents and brother. Not exactly your typical meet-cute story.
One month after watching the documentary, Victoria began corresponding with Amato, who was incarcerated in Florida. She allegedly shared her marital struggles with Aaron and described feeling lonely. Their digital pen-pal relationship escalated into something far more sinister, with Victoria reportedly texting Amato about ending her husband's life, saying, "Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce." Yikes.
Through the "Find My" app, Victoria allegedly provided Amato with Aaron’s precise location while he was filming for his hit TV series. Amato then passed on this information to a third party who was supposed to "take care of the situation." Chillingly, Amato is said to have messaged the third party asking, "Was it done?" while Aaron was asleep in his hotel room.
The plot unraveled when corrections officers in Florida confiscated Amato’s phone and discovered the incriminating messages. Authorities in Las Vegas were alerted, leading to Victoria’s arrest on charges of soliciting and conspiring to commit murder.
During questioning, Victoria reportedly denied wanting her husband dead, claiming her messages were merely "fantasies and daydreams." She admitted to sometimes imagining a life without Aaron and with Amato but insisted those thoughts were no longer relevant. The police report states that she described these musings as a form of escapism, though the evidence suggests she took her fantasies dangerously close to reality.
Unsurprisingly, Aaron Goodwin has since filed for divorce. The documents were submitted last week in Clark County, Nevada, just days after Victoria’s arrest. Talk about ghosting someone in the most literal sense.

This is one of those stories that makes you question reality. The fact that someone could watch a documentary about a murderer and think, ‘This is the guy I should write to,’ is baffling on so many levels. It’s like a true-crime obsession gone completely off the rails. Also, using the 'Find My' app to track Aaron? That’s a chilling reminder that technology can be both a blessing and a curse. Let’s just say, 'Til death do us part' took on a whole new meaning here.
