Brief

A conservative nonprofit launches a major ad campaign supporting Trump's tax cut plan and agenda, coinciding with his Congress address, amid partisan reactions and strategic timing.

First on Fox: A conservative nonprofit group is pulling out all the stops with a six-figure ad buy to flank President Donald Trump’s Tuesday night address to Congress. The ad campaign hypes up his tax cut plan while promising more "winning" as his presidency forges ahead.

The ad, produced by the Plymouth Union Public Advocacy, opens with a bold claim: "He’s back." The organization, known for pushing policies aimed at boosting America's strength and prosperity, spares no superlatives in its 30-second spot. The message? Trump is doubling down on tax cuts—tips, overtime, Social Security, and more could all be in for relief. Oh, and he's ready to block healthcare taxes that might spike costs. Winning, indeed.

Titled "Winning," the ad will run nationwide on TV and digital platforms before and after Trump's speech. The phrase "We’re not tired of winning" seems to be the mantra here, and it’s clear they’re sticking to the script of rallying the faithful while courting skeptics.

The timing of the campaign couldn’t be more strategic. A recent Fox News focus group of Independent voters gave Trump a thumbs-up for his tax-cut promises and plans to tackle wasteful government spending. The ad seems designed to capitalize on that momentum.

Meanwhile, over in Congress, the House recently passed a resolution paving the way for a multitrillion-dollar bill that aligns with Trump’s priorities. Think border security, defense, energy, and—you guessed it—tax cuts.

Trump’s Tuesday address, themed "Renewal of the American Dream," will focus on four key areas, according to White House officials: his second-term accomplishments, economic achievements, a renewed push for border security funding, and plans for global peace. Talk about an ambitious checklist.

Not everyone’s gearing up for a standing ovation, though. Several Democratic lawmakers, including Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut, plan to boycott the event. Murphy isn’t mincing words, calling the speech a "MAGA pep rally" rather than a serious address to the nation. He’ll be hosting a live prebuttal instead. Let’s just say the divide in Washington isn’t narrowing anytime soon.

You have to hand it to the Plymouth Union Public Advocacy—they know how to package a message and pick their moments. Love him or hate him, Trump’s knack for branding (and his supporters’ talent for amplification) is hard to ignore. That said, calling a tax plan 'winning' might feel a little tone-deaf to folks struggling with rising costs elsewhere. But hey, politics is all about the spin, right?
