Brief
House Democrats, led by Maxine Waters, walk out of a crypto hearing, alleging Trump family corruption. Republicans vow to continue bipartisan efforts.
Drama in the House: Today, a group of House Democrats, led by Rep. Maxine Waters of California, made quite the exit from a joint hearing of the Agriculture and Financial Services committees. Instead of sticking around for the scheduled session, the Democrats decided to stage their own hearing, citing concerns over President Donald Trump and his family's alleged connections to the cryptocurrency industry.
Rep. French Hill, the Republican chair of the Financial Services Committee, was quick to respond to the walkout. In his statement, Hill emphasized a commitment to bipartisan cooperation, saying that Republicans from both committees would keep working with anyone "serious about creating a lasting framework that protects Americans, encourages innovation, and brings digital asset leadership back to the U.S." If only Congressional drama could be traded as easily as Bitcoin—Wall Street would be in trouble.

Honestly, at this rate, Congress should consider installing a revolving door. Between crypto chaos and political walkouts, maybe the only thing more volatile than Bitcoin is Capitol Hill itself.
