Jelly Roll—the larger-than-life country star with a heart as big as his voice—recently opened up about a personal habit that makes his wife, Bunnie Xo, see red. During a rapid-fire segment on "The Jennifer Hudson Show," Jelly Roll admitted, with a sheepish grin, "I feel bad for her. I have this problem where I leave a trail of clothes from the front door to the shower." The audience groaned in unison, and you could almost hear wives everywhere groaning along at home.
"Everybody’s like, ‘We hate you.’ I just heard women shake their fists at me," he joked, as laughter rippled through the crowd. Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, insists he’s trying to break the habit, but even he admits it annoys Bunnie Xo to no end.
Luke Bryan, fellow country superstar and "American Idol" judge, also shared that his own habits—especially snoring and careless coffee spoon placement—get on his wife Caroline’s nerves. Apparently, putting a wet spoon straight on the counter is considered a bigger crime than snoring in some households. Who knew domestic drama could be this relatable?
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo’s story is almost as wild as their personalities. The pair met in Las Vegas in 2015, when Bunnie attended one of Jelly Roll’s concerts. By 2016, after a whirlwind romance and a stage-side proposal at a Yelawolf and Deftones concert, the duo had eloped.
But forget the laundry trail for a moment—let’s talk about the viral booger incident. When a video surfaced of Jelly Roll picking his nose at a UFC event (while sitting behind Trump, Elon Musk, and Kid Rock, no less), the internet predictably had a field day. Bunnie Xo came to his defense on her "Dumb Blonde" podcast, explaining that her husband has a little nervous tic and, despite what the video may suggest, he’s not actually eating his boogers. She told fans, "Let the man eat his damn booger," doubling down with her trademark honesty and humor.
Bunnie Xo also reminded everyone to focus on the good Jelly Roll does for the community, pointing out that he’s "an angel on Earth who does nothing but good for people," and joked about their embrace of the "dirtbag" label. It’s hard not to love a couple that keeps it so hilariously real.
Meanwhile, Jelly Roll continues to make waves in the music world, serving as "Artist in Residence" on "American Idol" and mentoring contestants alongside Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Lionel Richie. Catch new episodes Sundays and Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, with a special Easter show airing April 20.

Honestly, if leaving a trail of clothes is Jelly Roll’s worst offense, Bunnie Xo might just be getting off easy—at least until she finds a sock in the fridge. And as for the nose-picking drama, can we all agree that if you can survive a viral booger video in front of Elon Musk and Kid Rock, you’re basically bulletproof?
