Brief

Lar Park Lincoln, star of 'Knots Landing' and 'Friday the 13th Part VII,' has died at 63 after battling breast cancer, leaving a lasting legacy in acting and mentorship.

Lar Park Lincoln, known for her roles in 'Knots Landing' and 'Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood,' has died at the age of 63.

Her daughter, Piper Lincoln, confirmed that Lar passed away on Tuesday after a battle with breast cancer. Surrounded by her loved ones, she leaves behind a legacy as both a devoted mother and a dynamic actress.

Lincoln found her way into America's living rooms as the telekinetic Tina Shepard, a true "scream queen" who squared off against Jason Voorhees in the 'Friday the 13th' franchise. She then made waves on the small screen as Linda Fairgate in 'Knots Landing,' earning a loyal following and working alongside TV legends like Michele Lee and William Devane for five years. Honestly, Tina taking on Jason is still one of horror's most memorable face-offs—give me psychic powers over a hockey mask any day.

Her acting journey, which began in the mid-1980s, spanned more than four decades. Born in Dallas in 1961, Lincoln also appeared in 'House II: The Second Story' and starred in 'Children of the Night' with Kathleen Quinlan and Mario Van Peebles. Guest spots with names like Michael Landon, Angela Lansbury, and Christina Applegate dotted her career, making her a familiar presence in countless households.

But Lincoln didn't just perform—she taught. As the founder of Actors Audition Studios in Plano, Texas, she mentored countless aspiring actors, making her a fixture behind the scenes as well. In 2008, she published 'Get Started, Not Scammed,' sharing her hard-earned advice with newcomers trying to navigate the often tricky entertainment world.

Her impact was recognized with a Bronze Halo Award, marking her contributions to Hollywood and beyond. The acting community remembers her not just for her roles, but for her dedication to helping others chase their dreams.

Lincoln is preceded in death by her husband Michael, her parents Jack and Marjorie Dale, and brothers Jack Jr. and Pat. She is survived by her daughter Piper and son Trevor, their families, her sister Karen, brother Michael, four grandchildren, her beloved poodle Charlie, and a wide circle of friends and admirers.

Rest in peace, Lar Park Lincoln—a true original whose on-screen screams and off-screen encouragement won't be forgotten.

Lar Park Lincoln didn’t just go toe-to-toe with Jason Voorhees—she pretty much went toe-to-toe with the entire industry, both on camera and as a mentor. If Hollywood had more telekinetic scream queens like her, maybe even auditions would be less terrifying! Also, shout out to Charlie the poodle for keeping the family legacy barking.
