Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series faces accusations of copying Pamela Anderson’s cooking show. Experts weigh in on the controversy, sparking buzz for both celebrity-led lifestyle programs.

Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix series, "With Love, Meghan," hasn’t even premiered yet, but it’s already stirring the pot. The Duchess of Sussex stands accused of copying Pamela Anderson’s cooking show, "Pamela’s Cooking With Love," with some claiming the resemblance is so close it's "frame for frame." Talk about starting with a bang.

Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner shared his thoughts, suggesting that the similarities between the two shows are hard to ignore. Markle’s series, debuting Tuesday, features her chatting with celebrity guests in the kitchen and garden of her Montecito home. Anderson’s show, which premiered just last week, apparently shares a strikingly similar vibe. Coincidence? Maybe. But comparisons are flying faster than a royal-themed headline.

Neil Sean, another royal commentator, didn’t mince words. In a YouTube video, he highlighted moments where Markle’s trailer appears to mirror Anderson’s – right down to a high-five scene with a guest. Sean quipped, "Clearly, she just got inspired," while acknowledging that reinvention in the cooking genre is no easy feat. Still, he suggested the publicity might actually benefit Anderson, calling it a "boost" for her brand. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Anderson might just be smiling all the way to the bank.

For her part, Anderson reportedly has no plans to take legal action. According to sources close to the actress, she’s taking the high road, wishing Markle well and enjoying the extra attention this drama has brought to her own show. A win-win for Anderson, it seems.

Not everyone is ready to call Markle’s series a straight-up copy. British broadcaster Helena Chard weighed in, noting that while there might be "some tips" borrowed from Anderson’s show, it’s unfair to say Markle has completely duplicated it. Chard pointed out that Markle’s series appears to focus less on cooking and more on lifestyle, predicting it will draw viewers thanks to curiosity surrounding the duchess and her high-profile life. She added, "The fact that she is married to Prince Harry with two beautiful children is the standout factor." Well, she’s not wrong there.

Public relations expert Matt Wolf echoed a similar sentiment, arguing that the accusations are unlikely to damage Markle’s brand. "People already feel strongly about her, one way or the other," Wolf said, implying that the duchess would need to do something far more drastic to sway opinions. In today’s polarizing celebrity culture, that’s probably a fair assessment.

Pelham Turner also provided some industry context, noting that television often follows trends and successful formats. He emphasized that while the artist might have input, the final call on a show’s direction typically rests with the network – in this case, Netflix. So, it seems the streaming giant might have played a hand in this alleged "inspiration." If nothing else, the buzz around these accusations is sure to drive viewers to both shows. Clever strategy or pure coincidence? You decide.

It’s almost poetic how a supposed copycat scandal might end up benefiting both parties. If Pamela Anderson is truly unbothered, then Meghan Markle might just owe her a thank-you note – and maybe a plate of cookies from that fancy Montecito kitchen. The whole situation feels like a collision of PR genius and petty drama, which, let’s face it, is exactly why we're all paying attention.
