Meghan Markle shares a rare photo of daughter Princess Lilibet on Instagram, celebrates International Women’s Day, and responds to reactions to her Netflix show’s second season renewal.

Meghan Markle gave fans a rare glimpse of her 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, on Saturday, sharing a heartwarming photo of the toddler on her newly launched Instagram page. In the image, Lilibet is seen from the back as her father, Prince Harry, cradles her on a boat.

The Duchess of Sussex posted the photo as part of a series of images celebrating International Women’s Day. Other pictures included Meghan with her mother, Doria Ragland, a beach photo with Harry, and a nostalgic black-and-white photo of Meghan as a child with her mom.

In her post, Meghan wrote, "Celebrating the strong women around us & the girls with dreams who will become women with vision. Also thanking those who uplift us every day."

The post comes shortly after Netflix announced the renewal of Meghan's lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, for a second season. The Duchess teased the upcoming season on Friday, writing, "If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2! Endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!"

However, not everyone is celebrating. The first season of the show, which premiered Tuesday, has sparked criticism, with some calling it eerily similar to Pamela Anderson's cooking show on Flavor Network. By Saturday, the show had a disappointing 25% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, though Netflix remains committed to its continuation.

Critics have not held back. Royal expert Helena Chard commented that Meghan "lacks charisma" and missed an opportunity to showcase authenticity in the cooking and gardening-focused series. Meanwhile, podcaster Kinsey Schofield accused the Duchess of "hijacking all the oxygen in the room." Ouch.

In one of the episodes, Meghan shared a tender moment about her family, explaining the significance of her title and surname after correcting comedian Mindy Kaling, who referred to her as "Markle." Meghan stated, "You have kids, and you go, ‘No, I share my name with my children.’ It just means so much. This is our family name, our little family name."

Since stepping back as senior royals in 2020, Meghan and Harry have been building a new life in Montecito, California. Their son, Prince Archie, was born in London in 2019, and Lilibet followed in California in 2021.

Adding to the family-centered vibe, Meghan recently shared a video of Lilibet playing a board game with tennis legend Serena Williams, affectionately referred to as "Auntie." The caption read, "When the aunties come to celebrate … and to play! Love you @serenawilliams."

Meghan's new Instagram page, launched earlier this year, has been a platform for both personal and promotional updates, coinciding with the premiere of her Netflix series. Whether fans love it or loathe it, one thing’s for sure—Meghan is keeping us all talking.

Meghan’s ability to stir up both admiration and critique is almost an art form at this point. The juxtaposition of heartwarming family moments and public backlash over her show is just peak modern celebrity life. But seriously, a 25% Rotten Tomatoes score? That’s the kind of thing you only see in movies people watch for laughs. Maybe season two will bring the redemption arc Netflix is hoping for—or at least fewer comparisons to Pamela Anderson’s cooking show.
