Michael J. Fox was absolutely surrounded by star power and big hearts at Nashville’s “A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s” gala Wednesday night. The event, dedicated to raising funds for Parkinson’s research, brought together Fox, Kelsea Ballerini, Sheryl Crow, and a whole crew of country A-listers who somehow made the red carpet look like a runway.

Ballerini stunned in a strapless black gown with a keyhole cutout, showing off not just her toned abs but a serious sense of style. She arrived hand-in-hand with boyfriend Chase Stokes, both beaming alongside Fox for photographers. Fox kept it classic with a red button-up, brown jacket, and a look that says, "Yes, I am the coolest guy here."

Inside, the glamour didn’t stop. Stokes swapped his red carpet look for a sharp blue shirt and black jacket, while Ballerini kept the focus on fun as the couple mingled and posed for more photos.

Sheryl Crow, never one to blend in, rocked an all-black ensemble complete with a leather vest and studded jacket. She gushed about the night on Instagram, calling it “beautiful” and “filled with inspiration and loving hearts,” and urged fans to learn more about the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s mission to end Parkinson’s. Crow’s support for Fox was front and center, and honestly, if there’s a cooler duo in Nashville, someone needs to prove it.

Chris Stapleton made his own stylish entrance in an all-black suit and his signature cowboy hat. Later, Fox introduced Stapleton on stage, where he performed hits like “Tennessee Whiskey” and “Broken Halo” before teaming up with Little Big Town for an electrifying rendition of “Johnny B. Goode.”

Fox took to Instagram after the event to thank everyone who helped make the night a success, giving special shoutouts to Stapleton and the rest of the night’s performers. He summed it up perfectly: “One hell of a night in Nashville... Every year, this night reminds me just how much heart this community has. Grateful and hopeful as ever. See you next year.”

Little Big Town brought their own flair to the gala, with Jimi Westbrook in a white jacket, Phillip Sweet in a patterned suit, Karen Fairchild in a bold orange minidress, and Kimberly Schlapman sporting a black minidress with fuzzy fringe. Beyond the music, Schlapman opened up about her personal connection to the cause, having watched her own mother battle Parkinson’s. She and her husband, Steve, co-chaired the event, making sure the focus stayed on hope, resilience, and—of course—a little country sparkle.

With music, heartfelt stories, and enough star wattage to light up all of Nashville, this gala was more than just a charity event—it was a celebration of community and the drive to find a cure.

Editor's Comments

If there’s ever a red carpet where cowboy hats, sequins, and a mission to cure Parkinson’s collide, leave it to Nashville to make it look effortless. Also, can we talk about how Michael J. Fox is the only person who could possibly outshine Chris Stapleton in a room full of country legends? Next year, I’m expecting line dancing lessons for all attendees—if you’re going to raise money, you might as well raise the roof, too.
