George, a four-time Pro Bowler and one of the most iconic running backs in NFL history, reportedly interviewed with Bowling Green on Friday. The move comes shortly after the university extended an offer to the Heisman Trophy winner. It's a big leap, but one that's very much in line with George's post-NFL career trajectory.

Before his coaching days, George was an unstoppable force at Ohio State, where he racked up 3,768 rushing yards and snagged the coveted 1995 Heisman Trophy. His legacy as a player is undeniable, with 10,441 career rushing yards in the NFL—most of them coming during his tenure with the Tennessee Titans, where he remains the all-time rushing leader.

At Tennessee State, George's coaching prowess began to shine. Under his leadership, the Tigers made their first FCS playoff appearance since 2013 this past season. That kind of turnaround doesn’t just happen—it takes vision and grit, which George clearly possesses in spades.
