NYC Nurse Vanishes During Thailand Jet Ski Ride – What Really Happened?

A 37-year-old American tourist, Nina Ng, is missing after a jet ski outing near Phuket, Thailand. Ng, a New York City native, was reported missing on Thursday after she didn't return her rental jet ski on time, according to jet ski rental operator Saranuwat Nasok.

Nasok stated that the jet ski was found parked about a kilometer from the beach, with Ng's belongings and life jacket still on it. A search was immediately launched, but to no avail.

Ng isn't just any tourist; she's a Chinese-American nurse and the founder of Help Me Live USA, a humanitarian organization that provides aid in conflict zones like the Gaza Strip. Her Instagram shows recent posts from Lebanon and Jordan, highlighting her dedication to helping others.

The circumstances surrounding Ng’s disappearance near Patong Beach remain unclear. A local boat driver reportedly saw her remove her life jacket before jumping into the water, according to Nasok.

First responders were seen gathering at the beach to begin the search, according to video footage from the scene. As of now, neither Help Me Live USA nor the U.S. State Department have released a statement. Local authorities have notified the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok about the situation.

Help Me Live USA describes Ng as an experienced emergency medicine nurse, hospital administrator, and humanitarian leader with over 15 years of experience in conflict zones like Haiti, Iraq, and Ukraine. The organization noted that Ng dedicated herself to humanitarian aid full-time in 2023 by founding Help Me Live USA.

According to her organization, Nina is currently a nomad who lives in different parts of the globe in between work assignments. She has a great love for children, nature, and animals.
