Pamela Anderson's producer addresses claims that Meghan Markle's Netflix show copies 'Pamela's Cooking with Love,' sparking debate, controversy, and increased publicity for both celebrity cooking series.

Pamela Anderson's producer has spoken up amidst claims that Meghan Markle's Netflix cooking show, "With Love, Meghan," is a suspiciously close replica of Anderson’s own program, "Pamela's Cooking with Love." Critics have even gone as far as calling Markle's show a "frame-for-frame" imitation of Anderson's work. Well, that's one way to stir the pot—literally and figuratively.

Released in February, Anderson's show highlights recipes inspired by her cookbook, "I Love You: Recipes from the Heart," and features chefs from around the globe cooking on her Vancouver Island farm. Markle’s show debuted shortly after in March, leading to side-by-side comparisons of scenes—like both women high-fiving guests during their respective shows. Coincidence or copycat? That’s up for debate.

Jesse Fawcett, Anderson’s producer, seemed unfazed by the allegations, even calling the resemblance a compliment. "We take pride in planting the first seeds—creating original, distinctive programming that audiences love—and it’s a compliment to see our work with Ms. Anderson resonate so strongly," Fawcett told the Daily Mail. Anderson herself seems to be basking in the success of her show, sharing her joy on Instagram while reminiscing about the dream-like experience of filming on her farm.

Royal expert Neil Sean chimed in, pointing out striking similarities between the two shows in a YouTube video. However, Sean noted that Anderson might actually benefit from the controversy, as the comparisons are boosting her show’s visibility. "This is the kind of publicity Pamela could have only dreamt about," he remarked. "Meghan being inspired by Pamela’s show is like an injection back into Pamela’s brand." Talk about turning lemons into lemonade—or maybe turning leftover vegetables into gourmet soup.

Despite the backlash, Markle's show isn’t bowing out anytime soon. In fact, Netflix has already wrapped filming for "With Love, Meghan" Season 2, which is slated for a fall release. Markle announced the renewal on Instagram with her signature flair, captioning a dancing video with the pun, "Lettuce romaine calm…or not(!) because I'm thrilled to share that Season 2 of 'With Love, Meghan' is coming!” The Duchess of Sussex may have her critics, but she’s clearly unbothered.

Still, not everyone is thrilled. British broadcaster Helena Chard described Markle’s show as "mundane" and "cringey," comparing her on-screen persona to a "modern Stepford Wife." Ouch. But whether it’s "smarmy" or strategic, Markle’s foray into lifestyle programming is undeniably grabbing headlines—and isn’t that half the recipe for success in showbiz?

You have to admire Pamela Anderson’s producer for spinning these copycat claims into a compliment—it’s like saying, "Thanks for the free promo!" The real winner here might just be Anderson’s brand, riding the wave of drama straight into renewed relevance. Meanwhile, Meghan Markle’s bold Instagram pun game deserves a nod—some people cringe, but she clearly knows how to keep the spotlight where she wants it.
