Brief
Anthony Greene makes his highly anticipated MLW debut at Battle Riot VII, aiming for the MLW World Championship in a thrilling 40-man rumble match at Thunder Studios Arena.
Anthony Greene is no stranger to the world of professional wrestling, having performed across major platforms like WWE’s NXT and 205 Live brands, All Elite Wrestling’s "AEW Dark," and even internationally with New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Noah. But now, he’s about to check a major milestone off his career bucket list: his debut with Major League Wrestling (MLW).
On Saturday, at Battle Riot VII, Greene will step into the MLW ring for the first time—a moment that he says has been years in the making. "I’m a huge wrestling nerd, always have been," Greene shared with Fox News Digital. "I remember buying the original MLW DVDs from HighSpots.com and watching legends like [Satoshi] Kojima win the title in tournaments back in 2002. MLW has always been a promotion I’ve followed closely."
Greene admitted that while he’s dreamt of wrestling for MLW for years, the timing was never quite right—until now. "When MLW made its comeback in 2017, I’d already been wrestling for five years, and I knew it was a place I wanted to be. But either I wasn’t ready, or the schedules just didn’t align. Now, with Battle Riot, where the MLW World Championship is on the line, it feels like the perfect moment for me," he said. Excited might be an understatement.
The stakes couldn’t be higher for Greene’s debut. MLW champion Matt Riddle will defend his title in a grueling 40-man rumble match, an endurance test that even seasoned wrestlers like Greene approach with cautious optimism. "One thing I am confident in is that by the end of the night, both MLW and its fans will know who Anthony Greene is," he said, before adding with a grin, "And best-case scenario, I walk out with the MLW World Heavyweight Championship." Ambitious? Sure. But you have to admire his confidence.
Battle Riot VII will take place at Thunder Studios Arena in Long Beach, California, with a sold-out crowd ready to witness the action. The show kicks off at 10 p.m. ET, promising a night of high-octane wrestling drama.
