Rebecca Loos reaffirms her claims of an affair with David Beckham, discussing the challenges of speaking out and criticizing the recent Netflix documentary's portrayal of events.

Rebecca Loos, the former assistant to soccer legend David Beckham, has reiterated her claims of an affair with him, insisting she has "never lied" about what happened over two decades ago. Speaking on "60 Minutes Australia" on Sunday, the 47-year-old Dutch model and yoga instructor said coming forward with her story was an act of bravery.

"In my opinion, it was a very brave thing to do to go up against them," Loos said during the interview. "I have stuck to the truth. I've never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing." She described going public with the alleged affair as a daunting move, given Beckham’s status as half of one of the world's most powerful celebrity couples. "They have all the money in the world for the best PR, the best lawyers. And all I had on my side was the truth," she added.

Loos recounted that the alleged affair began when Victoria Beckham was out of town. According to her, David made the first move, inviting her back to his hotel. She recalled being captivated by his charm, saying, "The way he looks at you, he's got a certain charismatic power. He can easily get what he wants and he knows it." However, the enchantment didn’t last long. Loos said she realized she had been "massively played" when Beckham appeared cozy with another woman at a party just weeks later.

The claims, which first surfaced in 2004, have been consistently denied by Beckham, who at the time released a statement saying he was "very happily married" and that "there is nothing any third party can do to change these facts." The controversy was reignited following the release of the Netflix documentary "Beckham," which revisits the soccer star’s career and personal life but steers clear of naming Loos directly.

In the documentary, David spoke about the strain the infidelity rumors placed on his marriage, saying, "I don’t know how we got through it, in all honesty. Victoria is everything to me. To see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we’re fighters and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family." Victoria also reflected on the challenging period, admitting she resented her husband after his high-profile transfer to Real Madrid in 2003, which kept them living in different countries. Describing the era as "the most unhappy I have ever been in my life," she shared how the media frenzy surrounding their marriage felt like a "circus."

Loos, however, has taken issue with how the documentary portrays her. After its release, she accused Beckham of painting himself as "the victim" while making her out to be a liar. In a separate interview, she expressed her frustration at the lack of acknowledgment or apology from Beckham, saying, "If he was going to touch on this time and how difficult it was, it would have been really nice for him to have said, ‘Not my proudest time… It was a tough time for us.' Something like that."

Loos said she has never received closure over the ordeal and feels she has been left to defend herself against a powerful narrative crafted by Beckham and his PR machine. Despite the controversy, Beckham has remained silent on Loos’ most recent remarks.

Rebecca Loos' allegations and her insistence on having told the truth all along are a reminder of how messy celebrity scandals can get, especially when you're up against a PR powerhouse like the Beckhams. But honestly, her complaint about not getting an apology feels like a cry for validation that’s probably never coming. Loos clearly wants to control the narrative, but Beckham's silence on this matter is deafening—and strategic.
