Rep. McIver Faces Court After Newark ICE Clash Over Congressional Oversight

New Jersey Representative LaMonica McIver faces a virtual court appearance today, charged with assaulting two federal agents during a heated clash at an ICE detention facility in Newark on May 9. Accompanied by fellow lawmakers and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, McIver was conducting what she insists was routine congressional oversight at Delaney Hall.
