According to a memo shared with Fox News, GOP senators are encouraged to lean into public sentiment favoring federal spending cuts, as indicated by recent national polls. But here's the snag: while Americans may love the idea of trimming fat, they're decidedly less keen on the drastic workforce reductions and controversial execution of DOGE's objectives. And Elon Musk, the chosen leader of DOGE, isn't exactly winning popularity contests either.

DOGE has made waves since Trump’s return to the White House, slashing billions in spending and downsizing federal agencies with a zeal that’s sparked lawsuits and fiery criticism. Democrats, unsurprisingly, are taking aim, accusing Trump of devastating communities and alienating his own supporters. In contrast, the NRSC is doubling down, urging GOP senators to highlight DOGE's role in undoing what it calls "Biden-Harris era inflationary spending."

The memo also calls for teamwork between senators and Musk’s DOGE team to tackle mistakes, streamline communication, and identify further cost-cutting opportunities.
