Mysterio has now openly challenged the masked newcomer to a showdown at WrestleMania 41 – and he’s not mincing words about what he wants to do.
Speaking at WrestleMania After Dark in Las Vegas, Mysterio grinned and declared, "One thousand percent. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’m going to do everything I can to take that mask off and show who El Grande Americano really is." That’s a pretty bold promise, considering the sacredness of masks in Lucha Libre. Unmasking a luchador is basically the wrestling world’s version of a mic drop – or a scandalous reveal on a reality show.
These two are set to clash on Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, held at Las Vegas’s Allegiant Stadium. Just last year, Mysterio and Andrade picked up a tag-team win with unexpected help from Philadelphia Eagles stars Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce – because apparently, everyone wants in on the wrestling action these days.
Mysterio’s got momentum on his side, too, snagging victories at the past two WrestleMania events, including a memorable triumph over his own son at WrestleMania 39. Fans are eager to see if this streak continues or if El Grande Americano’s secret identity (and possibly his pride) will be exposed for all to see.

I have to say, there’s something wildly entertaining about the idea that WWE’s big mystery might just be a guy we already know wearing a fancy mask. If Mysterio really does pull off the unmasking, I hope we get a dramatic slow-motion reveal – and maybe a few gasps from the crowd that could rival a telenovela finale.
