Roman Reigns hints at leaving WWE after WrestleMania 42, planning a shift to Hollywood movies and TV. Paul Heyman confirms major entertainment offers await.

Roman Reigns has spent the last five years demanding that every city acknowledge his greatness, and now it looks like he’s prepping for the final act of his WWE saga. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Reigns revealed he’s got about two years left once his current WWE contract winds down after WrestleMania 42. His plan? Swap out the body slams for blockbusters.

Reigns told the magazine, just days before his high-stakes triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, "After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max. Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment." Translation: expect to see more of him on the big screen rather than in the ring.

Paul Heyman, Reigns’ long-time advocate and wrestling’s own smooth-talking strategist, chimed in to Fox News Digital to say this Hollywood pivot is far from a shocker. According to Heyman, Reigns and himself have been flooded with offers for movies, TV, and even reality shows for years. But with the grueling WWE schedule, there just hasn’t been time to jump at those Hollywood dreams.

Heyman didn’t hold back, "I can show you my phone right now, and there are people begging to fly up from Hollywood to take in a meeting either before or after WrestleMania about directing films, writing films, this project. And I’m not knocking indie films — I’m a big fan of indie films — but I’m not talking $1-2 million budgets. I’m talking real, substantial studio budgets. And, because of the schedule and because of commitments, neither one of us have jumped on that." Talk about being in demand!

For those not keeping score, Reigns (real name Joseph Anoaʻi) has already dabbled in Hollywood. He’s appeared in "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw," "The Wrong Missy," "Rumble," and even has a role in Eddie Murphy’s upcoming flick, "The Pickup." So the idea of him trading the ring for the red carpet isn’t exactly a swerve.

Heyman said, "So, Roman saying that this is a consideration of his and that it is something that he would like to exploit is nothing new, but under the current contract, he doesn’t have the time and the amount of time in a block to pursue such goals." When Reigns negotiates his next deal, you can bet he’ll carve out time for those Hollywood ambitions.

As for Heyman, he’s not missing out on the Las Vegas festivities. He’ll be a featured guest at the Roast of WrestleMania after night two of the event, bringing his signature wit to the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The WWE universe should enjoy the reign while it lasts—because Reigns clearly has his sights set on a new stage.

Roman Reigns plotting a Hollywood takeover is probably the least surprising twist in WWE’s never-ending drama. The real eyebrow-raiser here? How these studios have apparently been circling him for years like seagulls at a hot dog stand, but the guy’s too busy bodyslamming to pick up the phone. Only in pro wrestling could someone be both the main event and Hollywood’s best-kept secret.
