Sean Duffy claims the Trump administration outperformed Pete Buttigieg's four-year DOT record in just 100 days, reigniting political sparring over transportation and policy.

The political pot is boiling again, folks. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy tossed some shade at Pete Buttigieg, claiming the Department of Transportation has achieved more in President Trump's first 100 days back in office than Buttigieg and Biden did in four years. Duffy's pointed remarks came after Buttigieg posted on social media about Americans facing higher costs and broken promises, urging people to demand better from their leaders.

Duffy didn't hold back, saying, "We’ve achieved more in 100 days than Buttigieg and Biden achieved in 4 years. Pete appears unburdened by no longer being a cabinet secretary. Not one word on transportation or infrastructure because he got nothing done." He also took the opportunity to slam the previous administration's green energy and diversity initiatives, promising to "rip out the Green New Scam and DEI for the American people!"

Earlier this year, Donald Trump also went after Buttigieg, calling him a "disaster" as both mayor and secretary. Trump, never one to mince words, accused Buttigieg of having little more than "a good line of bulls---." Buttigieg, who previously ran South Bend, Indiana, has recently announced he won’t be running for governor or U.S. Senate in Michigan in 2026. He emphasized his interest in Michigan’s future leadership but decided to stay out of the race for now.

Buttigieg has been vocal about the need for the Democratic Party to do a better job reaching out to voters, admitting the party is sometimes guilty of too much finger-wagging. Maybe someone should tell him the finger-pointing is just as fierce from the other side of the aisle.
