Brief

Shedeur Sanders, once projected as a top NFL Draft pick, remains undrafted after three rounds as his stock plummets, facing criticism and uncertainty heading into the final day.

Shedeur Sanders, once hyped as a potential No. 1 pick in this year's NFL Draft, has watched his stock tumble in a way no one—least of all himself—expected. After seeing five other quarterbacks, including Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart, and Jalen Milroe, get their names called before him, Sanders is now facing the final day of the draft still waiting for his big moment.

Earlier in the year, mock drafts had him as a top-five lock, but the reality of draft night had other ideas. Sanders dropped out of the first round, and by round three, he was still on the board. To add insult to injury, he even received a prank call telling him to "wait a little longer"—as if waiting for his name wasn’t nerve-wracking enough.

Despite the mounting pressure, Sanders took to social media late in the third round with a message of gratitude: "Thank you GOD for EVERYTHING." It’s a show of confidence and humility, even as teams look the other way.

On night two, teams like the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks picked quarterbacks like Tyler Shough (going 40th overall) and Jalen Milroe (92nd overall), while the Cleveland Browns passed over Sanders for Dillon Gabriel. Clearly, some teams are doubting whether he’s worth the risk, with one anonymous coach even calling his pre-draft meeting "the worst," accusing him of being "entitled" and "not that good." Ouch. The NFL Draft can be brutal, but this is next-level honesty—or maybe just a little too much salt?

With more than 150 picks left between rounds four and seven, Sanders still has a shot. The Tennessee Titans start off round four, but their QB situation is set, so the suspense continues. The Las Vegas Raiders have an early pick, but where Sanders will land is anyone's guess at this point. The NFL might love drama, but this feels like a reality show twist nobody saw coming.

If Shedeur Sanders needs inspiration for patience, he could always look to the New York subway—sometimes you wait forever, but the train does show up... eventually. Let’s hope his destination isn’t as mysterious as the G train at midnight.
