Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders faces scrutiny for speeding tickets, missing court, and character concerns as he competes for the starting quarterback role.

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders is making headlines for all the wrong reasons, racking up traffic tickets and skipping court dates like a seasoned draft dodger. Police records reveal Sanders was clocked at a blistering 101 mph in a 60 mph zone in Strongsville, Ohio, on Tuesday, earning him a speeding citation hotter than a summer scrimmage. This wasn’t his first rodeo—Sanders had already been pulled over in Medina, Ohio, on June 6, but apparently decided the June 13 arraignment wasn’t worth his time, leaving the court empty-handed.

The son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s off-field antics are raising eyebrows faster than his on-field spirals. Before the NFL Draft, whispers about his character swirled like a bad pass. An anonymous coach called his interview the “worst ever,” citing entitlement and poor body language, while an executive felt belittled by his demeanor. Even CBS analyst Ross Tucker shared a tale of Sanders ghosting a pre-game production meeting, chilling in a pickup truck instead of showing up. These stories paint a picture of a young quarterback who plays by his own rules—ones that don’t always align with team expectations.

Drafted 144th overall in the fifth round by the Browns, Sanders slid further than a fumble on wet turf, as teams like the New York Giants and others passed him up for quarterbacks like Jaxson Dart and Dillon Gabriel. Now, he’s competing for Cleveland’s starting role against veterans like Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, as well as fellow rookie Gabriel, while Deshaun Watson’s recovery looms large. Browns spokesman Peter John-Baptiste assures fans Sanders is “taking care of the tickets,” but whether he can steer clear of trouble remains to be seen.

Sanders’ talent is undeniable, but his choices off the field are throwing flags. As he navigates the NFL’s spotlight, he’ll need to hit the brakes on reckless moves and show up—not just on the field, but where it counts.

Shedeur Sanders is driving faster than a blitz and dodging court like it’s a sack! Why’s he treating Ohio’s roads like his personal end zone? Maybe he’s practicing for the ‘most creative ways to fumble a reputation’ award. Jokes aside, this kid’s got talent, but he’s gotta learn the playbook for life off the field—or he’ll be benched by more than just the Browns.
