Shooting in Canada Leaves a Dozen Wounded, Police Say

A Friday night shooting at a pub in Toronto, Canada, has left a dozen people injured, with authorities still on the hunt for the suspect. Toronto Police responded to reports of an active shooter around 10:40 p.m. According to Toronto Fire Services, the chaotic scene erupted inside the Scarborough pub, with gunfire leaving 12 victims in its wake. Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow addressed the incident on social media platform X, expressing her shock and concern. "I am deeply troubled to hear reports of a shooting at a pub in Scarborough," Chow wrote. She added that she had spoken with Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw, who assured her that all necessary resources have been deployed for the investigation.
