Donald Trump calls Minnesota Governor Tim Walz a 'loser,' slamming his role in the Democrats' 2024 loss, as political figures mock Walz's bold claims and future ambitions.

Former President Donald Trump has called Minnesota Governor Tim Walz a "loser," accusing him of contributing to the Democrats’ loss in the 2024 election. The remarks came during an Oval Office conversation on Friday, where Trump pulled no punches in criticizing Walz and his role as Kamala Harris’ running mate.

"Well, he's a loser. Yeah. No, I think so. He lost an election," Trump said. "He played a part. You know, usually a vice president doesn't play a part. They say. I think Tim played a part. I think he was so bad that he hurt her. But she hurt herself. And Joe hurt them both. They didn't have a great group, but I would probably put him at the bottom of the group." Ouch.

Walz’s comments that seem to have triggered Trump originated from a podcast discussion with California Governor Gavin Newsom. Walz, in a candid moment, suggested he could "kick the a--" of most Trump supporters. He also mused, "How do you fight it? I think I could kick most of their a--. I do think that." The bold claim didn’t go unnoticed, with critics quick to pounce.

Wrestling enthusiasts may have gotten a chuckle when former WWE star-turned-Tennessee Mayor, Kane, chimed in, challenging Walz to a charity wrestling match. That’s one way to settle political disputes, I guess.

But Walz didn’t stop there. He claimed, "I scare them a little bit" and boasted about his practical skills like fixing a truck, which he said Republicans find intimidating. Newsom reportedly laughed at his remarks, but not everyone was amused.

Caitlyn Jenner, the Olympic gold medalist and reality TV star, took a jab at Walz, posting on X (formerly Twitter) that she’s "more masculine" than the governor. Even Vice President JD Vance weighed in, saying in an interview, "I was never physically intimidated by Tim Walz." That was as close to shade as political commentary gets.

Speculation also swirls over whether Walz might attempt a Senate run following his high-profile but unsuccessful vice-presidential bid. Vance, however, didn’t seem too concerned, adding, "I’m not too worried about Tim Walz as a political talent." For Walz, it’s clear that both his bravado and political future are under scrutiny.

Tim Walz really seems to be aiming for the title of 'Most Talked About Politician of the Week'—but not for the best reasons. Boasting about physical prowess while discussing toxic masculinity is a choice, for sure. And the truck-fixing flex? Points for originality, though it’s unclear if that’s what voters are really looking for. Meanwhile, Trump’s takedown of Walz is classic Trump, sharp and dismissive, but it’s fascinating how thoroughly Walz has managed to rile up critics across the spectrum. Politics meets WWE? Only in America.
