Set to ignite the track on Carb Day, Friday at 2 p.m. ET, these hot dog-shaped vehicles will add a playful twist to the Indy 500’s storied traditions. Each Wienermobile reps a different region—think New York Dog for the East, Slaw Dog for the Southeast, and Sonoran Dog for the Southwest—bringing a flavorful flair to the festivities.

It’s been a decade since all six Wienermobiles shared the same spotlight, and this marks their first-ever race, promising a spectacle as quirky as it is nostalgic. Carb Day, the final practice before the big race, just got a lot more delicious. Meanwhile, the Indy 500 itself, a motorsport titan since 1911, continues to carve out history. This year, rookie Robert Shwartzman, the first Israeli driver to compete in The Greatest Spectacle in Racing, snagged the pole position—a feat not seen from a rookie since 1983.
