Democratic leaders face criticism for failing to condemn violence against Teslas, controversial remarks, and gender policy stances, raising concerns about the party's direction and messaging.

In the whirlwind of political drama since Donald Trump stepped back into the presidency, Democrats have doubled down on their "this is not normal" narrative. But here's the million-dollar question: do they ever stop to glance in the mirror? Because on their side of the aisle, normalcy seems to be playing an extended game of hide-and-seek.

Take House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Their refusal to condemn the alarming wave of violence targeting Teslas—yes, the electric cars—has left even some lower-level Democrats shaking their heads. Rep. Ro Khanna, for instance, managed to utter the simple truth: "Destroying personal property over politics? Not okay, folks." Why is this so hard for the party's leadership?

And then there’s Rep. Jasmine Crockett from Texas, who seems to have taken the mantle of "emerging star" a little too theatrically. This week, Crockett mocked Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s disability, cheekily dubbing him "Governor Hot Wheels" during an event hosted by the Human Rights Campaign. To add insult to injury, her subsequent attempt to justify the comment—claiming it referred to Abbott’s migrant transport policies—was as flimsy as a paper umbrella in a hurricane.

What’s missing here, apart from basic decency, is condemnation from her party. Are we really at the point where mocking the disabled is considered "fighting the good fight"? Let's hope this isn’t a slippery slope toward kicking puppies or swiping candy from babies.

Meanwhile, up in Maine, Democratic Gov. Janet Mills is staking her political chips on supporting biological males competing in women’s sports. This controversial stance comes as Democrats continue to point fingers at Trump, shouting, "That’s not normal!" Irony much?

The broader picture? The Democrats have morphed from the Party of Jefferson and Jackson into a hodgepodge of electric vehicle vandalism, tone-deaf jokes about disabilities, and gender-related controversies. It’s a recipe for political erosion, and it begs the question: where are the grown-ups in the room?

Sure, every now and then, voices of reason like Sen. John Fetterman or Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips surface, urging the party to focus on affordability and tangible issues like groceries and housing. But the problem lies in the messaging. The far-left narrative consistently drowns out the moderate voices, leaving centrists hesitant to call out the more extreme elements within their ranks.

As polling numbers show Democrats hovering at an alarmingly low popularity rating of 25%, the party risks becoming a caricature of itself. If the centrists don’t step up soon, the far-left’s antics might cement themselves as the party’s identity. And while this might be music to the Republican Party’s ears, it’s hardly good news for a country that desperately needs two serious political parties to function.

So, to all the rational Democrats out there: this is your cue. Stand up, speak out, and reclaim your party before it spirals into irrelevance. The country—and Tesla owners—are counting on you.

While the article paints a dramatic picture of the Democratic Party’s internal struggles, one can’t help but chuckle at the absurdity of certain scenarios—like the Tesla vandalism saga. Seriously, folks, let’s not drag electric cars into political warfare. Also, Crockett’s 'Governor Hot Wheels' remark was cringe-worthy, and her defense? Even more so. If this is the new normal, then maybe the Democrats should rethink their definition of 'fighting.'
