WNBA Champ Natasha Cloud Calls Out U.S. for 'Profit Over People' Focus

WNBA champion Natasha Cloud is making waves off the court, doubling down on comments suggesting the United States prioritizes profit and money over its people. The Connecticut Sun guard took to social media to defend her stance after facing pushback for remarks made in an interview with The Associated Press.

"Thing is I’m not soft, & words don’t hurt me lol are we 5? It still remains people over profit," she posted on X (formerly Twitter). She encouraged critics to do a quick Google search of overseas media coverage on U.S. issues, adding, "Then come back to me and tell me the whole world crazy."

And it’s time to break down a system that has only been about White men."

She also pointed out what she sees as a troubling trend in the U.S., saying, "Too often this country has put the human aspect aside, and put profit and money over people."
