Men who rely on daily multivitamins for a boost might want to double-check their bottles: MTN OPS LLC, a supplement company based in Utah, has recalled its Multi-V Men multivitamins after the FDA flagged the presence of an undeclared allergen—soy flour—that could spell big trouble for anyone with a soy allergy.

The recall affects 7,546 bottles of the 60-capsule Multi-V Men product, all carrying the lot number #012324177 and an expiration date of March 2026. According to the FDA, these vitamins were pulled from shelves on April 9 and listed as a Class II recall. That means the health risk is moderate—think reversible or temporary reactions, with only a slight chance of anything more serious.

So, if you’re allergic to soy, these pills could cause some pretty unpleasant (and potentially dangerous) side effects. Not exactly the energetic lifestyle the label is promising.

The multivitamins in question contain a range of essential nutrients—calcium, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin B-12, vitamin D, and thiamin—touting benefits for men’s "daily health" and "immune health." MTN OPS says their formulation is designed to help men maintain a strong, healthy, and energetic lifestyle. With that undeclared soy, though, "energetic" could translate to "racing to the ER" for some unlucky folks.

Only this specific lot is included in the recall. No other MTN OPS vitamin products are affected.

Recalls on supplements and over-the-counter pills aren’t exactly an everyday event, but they do happen. In 2016, for example, Nature Made pulled some of its vitamins due to potential contamination with salmonella or staph bacteria. And just last fall, some lots of the anti-anxiety drug clonazepam got yanked off the market after being mislabeled with the wrong strength and drug code.

MTN OPS hasn’t made a public statement about the recall yet, despite requests for comment.
