Rep. Jasmine Crockett slams Trump 'regime,' stands in solidarity with Biden witnesses during heated House probe into alleged cover-ups.
Representative Jasmine Crockett, a progressive force from Texas, made waves this week with her unexpected appearances at the House Oversight Committee’s closed-door interviews with former Biden administration aides. Her presence, though brief, was a bold statement of support for those under scrutiny in the ongoing GOP-led probe.
Crockett arrived unannounced at the transcribed interview of Ashley Williams, former White House Director of Strategic Outreach, staying just over 30 minutes. While she kept mum on the specifics of the discussion, she was vocal about her unwavering confidence in President Biden’s mental fitness during his tenure. Her stance sharply contrasts with the investigation’s focus on alleged cover-ups of Biden’s mental and physical decline.
More striking was Crockett’s fierce criticism of the current administration. She didn’t hold back, accusing the Trump ‘regime’ of fostering a threatening atmosphere for both congressional members and political adversaries. "We know about the threats that come upon them, upon us as members of Congress," she told reporters, emphasizing the importance of standing in solidarity with Biden’s allies during these probes. Her physical presence, she argued, ensures witnesses don’t feel isolated amidst what she called ‘egregious attacks’ from the administration.
Interestingly, Crockett was the only lawmaker spotted at Williams’ interview, a staff-led session where attendance wasn’t mandatory for legislators. She pointed out the absence of Republican counterparts, questioning their commitment to a probe they’ve prioritized. "Right now, the Republicans continue to act as if this is a main priority. Yet none of them are showing up," she remarked, underscoring her intent to be in the room to counter what she sees as mischaracterizations of the former president.
Her earlier surprise appearance at the deposition of Biden’s former physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, also raised eyebrows. There, alongside House Oversight Chairman James Comer, she reiterated her lack of concern over Biden’s mental state while in office—while pointedly raising doubts about Trump’s. The White House, through spokesman Harrison Fields, fired back, dismissing Crockett’s relevance with a jab likening her to a reality TV star unfit for Capitol Hill.
As the investigation, led by Comer, digs into whether Biden’s aides hid signs of decline or if executive actions were taken without his full awareness, Crockett’s defiant solidarity with Biden’s team adds another layer of tension to an already charged political showdown.

Well, folks, Jasmine Crockett is playing the role of the cavalry, riding in to save Biden’s allies from the GOP’s probing posse. But let’s be real—if showing up for 30 minutes is ‘solidarity,’ then I’m a superhero for popping into the office for a coffee run. And calling Trump’s administration a ‘regime’? That’s spicier than Texas chili! Maybe she’s onto something, though—perhaps the real cover-up is where all the Republicans disappeared to during these interviews. Did they get lost on the way to the Capitol, or are they just binge-watching reruns of ‘The Apprentice’ for tips?
