Kylie Kelce isn't holding back when it comes to her views on modern parenting. The expectant mom of four recently shared some strong opinions on children's birthday parties during an episode of her podcast, "Not Gonna Lie."

Kylie, who shares daughters Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 3, and Bennett, 2, with her husband, NFL star Jason Kelce, is not a fan of giving presents to other kids at a birthday party. "I am vehemently against the idea of other kids getting birthday presents on a child's birthday," she stated firmly. "Our family knows, no one else is receiving a birthday present for Bennett's birthday. Everyone gets a special day."

"When your siblings get presents for your birthday, it reduces your birthday. It's not their birthday. It's your birthday," she continued. "I think it teaches them to a degree that just because someone's getting presents doesn't mean you get presents. It feels very participation trophy-esque and not happening." I kind of agree with her, it's like everyone's a winner, but is everyone really?

The Kelce family is gearing up to welcome their fourth daughter. The announcement was made in November, and Kylie even shared a hilarious Instagram post capturing her daughters' reactions to the news.

The photo featured her three daughters wearing "Big Sister" sweaters, with one covering her ears, another smiling, and the youngest crying. "I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister. At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page!" she wrote.

On a December podcast episode, Kylie elaborated on the kids' reactions, revealing that Bennett, nicknamed "Bennie," is particularly unenthusiastic about the new arrival.

"When I tell you that Bennie feels deeply and personally victimized by the fact that we chose to give her another sibling, I mean that with my whole chest," Kylie shared. "No, no, she absolutely has not [come around]. When other babies or little kids come over, and they try to sit in my lap, she physically removes them. So, we are about to ruin her day." Sounds like Bennie is going to be a tough older sister! Good luck to the new baby.

Editor's Comments

Kylie Kelce's stance on birthday gifts is refreshing. In a world where everyone seems to get a prize just for showing up, it's good to see someone advocating for making birthdays feel special and unique.
