The Baltimore Orioles are mourning the loss of their minor league infielder Luis Guevara, who tragically passed away at 19 following a jet ski accident in Lido Key, Florida. The young athlete, a rising star in the Orioles’ farm system, was involved in a collision between two jet skis, an incident that left all four riders in the water. Guevara’s journey with the Orioles began in January 2023, when he signed as an international free agent from Venezuela. Known for his versatility, he played shortstop, third base, and second base, showcasing his talent across multiple teams.
