Trump blasts Europe's immigration crisis as a 'horrible invasion' during Scotland visit, while pushing trade deals with the U.K. and EU.

President Donald Trump touched down in Scotland on Friday and didn’t hold back, delivering a scathing critique of Europe’s immigration policies. He labeled the ongoing migrant crisis a "horrible invasion" that is, in his words, "killing" the continent. Fresh off a campaign promise to secure the U.S. southern border, Trump contrasted his administration’s near-total shutdown of illegal entries with Europe’s struggles, particularly in the U.K., where small boats continue to ferry migrants across the English Channel daily.

Speaking to reporters at Prestwick Airport, Trump issued a stark warning: "On immigration, you better get your act together, or you're not going to have Europe anymore." He pointed to recent U.K. figures showing nearly 22,500 arrivals via the Channel this year alone—a 57% spike from last year—while net migration dropped to 431,000. Meanwhile, Trump took a swipe at his predecessor, calling Biden’s border record a disaster with monthly apprehensions hitting staggering highs.

Trump praised certain European leaders for their hardline stances, hinting at allies like Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, though he refrained from naming names to avoid embarrassing others. "Immigration is killing Europe," he reiterated, urging leaders to act decisively.

Beyond the fiery rhetoric, Trump’s five-day U.K. visit includes stops at his golf resorts in Turnberry and Aberdeen, as well as meetings with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Scottish First Minister John Swinney. Trade is also on the agenda, with Trump touting the recently inked U.S.-U.K. "Economic Prosperity Deal" to slash tariffs. He even gave a nod to Starmer, calling him a "good man" for sealing a deal long in the works. Talks with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen about a broader EU trade agreement are also in the pipeline, which Trump described as potentially "the biggest deal of them all."

Trump’s landing in Scotland was less about golf swings and more about swinging punches at Europe’s migrant mess. Calling it a 'horrible invasion'—well, he’s not wrong about the numbers piling up like luggage at a lost-and-found. But here’s a thought: while he’s busy sealing borders and trade deals, maybe he can trade some of that wall-building know-how with the U.K. for a few lessons in tea etiquette. And hey, if Europe’s ‘killing’ itself, perhaps Trump’s got a resurrection plan up his sleeve—or at least a tariff cut to sweeten the deal!
