"His death wasn’t an overdose; it was a poisoning," she said, emphasizing the deadly nature of the fentanyl crisis sweeping the nation. The mother blamed open-border policies under the Biden administration for allowing cartels and traffickers to flood the streets with the lethal drug.

When Biden assumed office in 2021, the family was living in Southern California. She believes the administration’s handling of border security created chaos, enabling the unchecked flow of fentanyl into the country. "I never imagined it would one day take my son from me. She also criticized countries like Mexico, Canada, and China for their roles in the crisis. According to her, Mexico’s cartels operate with impunity, Canada has lax oversight allowing fentanyl labs to flourish, and China is the primary supplier of the chemicals fueling the epidemic.

But she sees hope in the measures proposed by former President Donald Trump. His plans to impose tariffs on imports from Mexico, Canada, and China aim to hold these nations accountable for facilitating the flow of fentanyl into the U.S. "He’s not just talking about the problem; President Trump is hitting these nations where it hurts: right in their wallets," she said.

The mother dismissed critics who argue that tariffs could hurt the economy, asking, "What is the cost of a child’s life?" She expressed gratitude toward Trump for taking a firm stand and using America’s economic power to protect families like hers.
