Two centenarians from Brazil, Manoel Angelim Dino, 105, and Maria de Sousa Dino, 101, have officially clinched the Guinness World Record for the longest marriage of a living couple. Their love story, confirmed by both Jam Press and LongeviQuest, spans an incredible 84 years and 85 days. Can you even imagine?!

The couple's journey began in 1936 when they met as kids collecting sweets. They reconnected in 1940, and Manoel professed his love at first sight. Maria felt the same, and they've been inseparable ever since.

Maria's mother initially had reservations about their union, but Manoel quickly won her over by building a house for Maria and their future family. Talk about commitment! As World War II raged in Europe, the couple in Brazil focused on building their life together, growing tobacco to support their eventual 13 children.

Their family has since exploded, now including 55 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Today, they spend their days at home, cherishing the family they've created. Manoel, while mostly resting due to his age, makes sure to join Maria in the living room every evening to listen to a rosary prayer on the radio, followed by Mass on television.

When asked about their secret to a long marriage, Maria's answer was simple: "Love. And that’s something even the most advanced computer could never calculate." It’s the kind of answer that makes you believe in true love, isn't it?

Previously, the record was held by an American couple, Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher, who were together for 86 years and 290 days until Herbert's passing in 2011. The longest marriage ever recorded was between David Jacob Hiller and Sarah Davy Hiller, lasting an astounding 88 years and 349 days until Sarah's death in 1898 after marrying in Canada in 1809.
